The Lenovo Legion Y7000, specifically the Y7000P-1060, is a 15 inch gaming laptop that features a simple layout, 1920×1080 IPS screen and 8th-gen Intel Core i7-8750H chips. It also has discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 6GB images. NVIDIA’s Pascal and the venerable GTX1060 have been replaced by Turing, but the Legion Y7000’s GPU is still capable of providing a fantastic 1080p gaming experience. The package is still a good deal in spring 2021.
The Lenovo Legion Y7000 Windows 10 Home laptop has a 15.60 inch display with a resolution 1920×1080 pixels. It’s powered by a Core i7 processor, and has 6GB of RAM. The Lenovo Legion Y7000 has 1TB HDD storage.
Only one version of the Lenovo Legion Y7000 is available. The Lenovo Legion Y7000 costs $1,099, and includes a 2.2GHz Intel Core I7-8750H processor, Nvidia GeForce 1060 GPU with 6GB VRAM, 16GB RAM, and a 256GB SSD. It also comes with a 1TB 7,200 rpm HDD.
One of the best aspects of upgrading generational components in a pre-built computer is the opportunity to save on them. The laptop market, however, is an excellent place to find deals if you don’t need the latest hardware.

The Legion Y7000 is a low-key gaming notebook that has a business-like design and enough ThinkPad DNA to stand out from other more expensive models. It’s a mixed bag. The computer keyboard is the best. It has great key travel and design. However, it can be flexed when typing heavy handed. The trackpad is excellent and one of my favorite examples on a Windows notebook computer. The 15.6-inch IPS display on the Y7000 delivers a great mix of brightness, saturation and excellent viewing angles. If you don’t mind the lower contrast, its anti-glare finish makes it a nice alternative to glistening screens. However, the display wasn’t calibrated right out of the box. This means that you will need to calibrate the display yourself if accurate colors are desired. It’s a mixed bag.
